Why Nubians?

We often ask ourselves that same question as Nubians can be difficult. They protest loudly when they feel you’re performance is lacking, they love to engage in farm mischief and their volume of milk production is less in comparison to other breeds. They do however have several redeeming qualities that makes them worth while. First and most importantly, Nubian milk tastes fantastic. Some breeds impart a strong goat flavour in the milk whereas Nubians do not. People who have told us they don’t like goat cheese change their minds after sampling ours. Nubians butterfat and protein components are very high in their milk which makes some divinely rich cheeses, yogurts and of course milk shakes. Lastly, they are very social and fun to be around even though they are unreasonably demanding; We are bonded to them.
